Stunning midcentury bungalow set high off the street for nonstop sunlight and delightful privacy. The studs-out remodel preserved the home's hearty bones and updated its livability, converting it into a better-than-new combination of skilled craftsmanship with modern-day sensible choices. Fully re-plumbed, re-wired and re-roofed, this house is ready to start its next 70 years! Gleaming Hickory wood floors amp up the brightness with their sumptuous texture and provide a spacious foundation for the great room that hosts a new kitchen, classic wood-burning fireplace and a living room with space for cartwheels. 2 bedrooms and a full bath complete the upstairs. Downstairs hosts a beautiful primary suite with a private bath and sitting room (craft/hobby space?). New heat pump provides heating and cooling throughout - clever in-ceiling mini splits keep them out of site and preserve wall space. The oversized laundry room doubles as a mudroom right off the attached single-car garage while a second off-street parking spot adds to the convenience of living in the city. The huge, open backyard is perfect for weekend BBQs, competitive croquet or something more reasonable such as a productive veggie garden. The location has multiple bus lines nearby, is just blocks to grocery stores, Swanson's Nursery, shopping on Greenwood and access to the hidden gem that is Carkeek Park. Come visit!
